A three week (evenings) beginners course or 1 day weekend workshop in stained glass. Tuition, materials, glass and equipment supplied. In this time we will make one small stained glass panel for you to take home. Learn to cut glass from a cartoon (a line drawing of the design), lead up, solder and cement using tools and techniques used in making all stained glass windows.

A three week (evenings) intermediate course or 1 day weekend workshop in stained glass. This is for those who have completed the beginners course or have had previous experience and want to continue with the craft. Tuition, materials, glass and equipment supplied .In this time we will make one small panel. This will be from a few set designs or from your own design. Costs £180.

A three week (evenings) course or 1 day weekend workshop learning the basics of fusing and shaping glass. All glass, tools and equipment are supplied. In this time we will make several small pieces of fused and shaped glass. (Tiles, Bowls, Sculptures...). We use Bullseye glass, Spectrum System 96/ Oceanside glass and Float glass. It is best if you have not cut glass before that you attend the beginners class in stained glass. This will give you more practice in cutting. (Although can be done without). Fusing kiln firings are typically 12hrs in duration. Arrangements will be made on the day to post out or pick up your glass once fired. Costs £180.

A 1 day workshop making a series of painted (kiln-fired) glass pieces and samples which can be stand alone pieces or used in future leaded and fused glass projects.

Using a selection of traditional and unorthodox materials you will explore methods such as

mark making, vinyl stencils, tracing and various brushwork techniques.

We will use different types of paint mainly by Reusche, Degussa and Rockingham.

We will make 4-5 kiln firings throughout the day.

(An extra day may be required to pick up some pieces).

Class sizes are limited to 4.

All glass, tools, paints and kiln use are supplied.

You can bring any designs or images along  which we can use or adapt on the day, but we will also supply many to choose from.

Dates for the painting classes are on a different  weekend to our normal classes. We will discuss with yourselves what dates are suitable.

A 1 day course in learning the techniques and skills to make a copperfoil panel or terrarium.  You will learn how to cut glass, to copper foil, to solder and by the end of the day you will have made your own panels, suncatchers or mini greenhouse! If you have not cut glass before , we recommend doing a 2-d panel or suncatcher before trying the terrarium. Panels and suncatchers can be from your own designs.
